Matryx technology offers triathletes breakthrough benefits with its targeted foot support and superior breathability. The lightweight yet durable upper is ideal for biking without socks and perfectly meets the demands of ambitious competitors. The key is the innovative fabric made of polyamide and Kevlar threads. Each fibre is coated all around instead of coating the entire upper shoe afterwards – this makes it lighter and more breathable at the same time. Strategically placed vents provide cooling airflow and faster drying.

The outsole is made from Mavic’s lightest material, ultra-stiff uni-directional SLR carbon fibers embedded in an epoxy resin matrix. The fibers are hand-laid and targeted to optimize pedaling efficiency. Mavic’s distinctive Fast Strap Velcro closure saves time in the transition zone and ensures a secure, comfortable fit. The wide main strap can be shortened as needed. And a hook-and-loop strap under the Ortholite^® insole keeps it in place during hectic transitioning.

Energy Full Carbon SLR Outsole
The lightest Mavic outsole with optimal stiffness, handcrafted from unidirectional carbon fibers embedded in thermosetting epoxy resin. The fibers are hand-laid into the matrix according to the load they must bear. The SLR uses unidirectional carbon fibers that allow it to create a performance cycling shoe with very specific strength characteristics based on the stress points of cycling. Strategic venting has been appropriately placed to create airflow along the shoe to keep your feet dry.
